Calypso Sweater Release
We are delighted to share Alanna's (Black Cat Knitting Co) new design!
Get the pattern here or on Ravelry here.
Calypso uses Alanna's two favourite yarns:
Spincycle Yarns Dyed In The Wool and Rowan Felted Tweed in 2-colour colourwork that looks like a lot more than 2 colours thanks to Spincycle's colour-changing magic.
Depending on the colours you choose, the colourwork pattern can pop A LOT or be quite subtle in places.

My personal favourite feature of this sweater is the picot edge on the neck and hem! I think it just adds a little something special that you don't see very often.
Unlike most colourwork knits that start with the main colour, this sweater starts with the secondary colour and naturally shifts into the main colour through the yoke.
The body length is slightly cropped, and the sleeves are 3/4 length (of course, if you prefer a full length body or longer sleeves, you can totally adjust the lengths)
Alanna used less than 2 skeins of Dyed In The Wool and only 4 balls of Felted Tweed for her version (not a ton of yarn!) which is size Medium. You can checkout the required meterage for each size on the Ravelry Page.
We know that Spincycle is not cheap and you may want to try your best to use it all up.
If you find that you have any yarn left over, take a look at how Heather used it to knit the cuffs, or how KiwiNicKnits adapted the yoke pattern for the sleeves!
