It's Tour de Fleece Time! 🐑
What is Tour de Fleece?
The 19th annual Tour de Fleece is kicking off this Saturday, July 5 and is a fun opportunity for spinners to also pedal along as cyclists race in the Tour de France. Individuals or teams can set goals they hope to meet by the end of the race on July 27th in an effort to challenge themselves and also connect with other spinners.
The official spin-along is held online on Ravelry which has all the guidelines listed and explains how to participate. We have created a Loopine Wool Co. Tour de Fleece team for the first time ever, so if you'd like a casual and fun group to join we'd love to have you.
You can check out our Ravelry forum here to sign up.
Not a spinner yet? We can fix that!
We're excited to share that the talented spinner Kurt Payne will be teaching several Learn To Spin Workshops here at the shop throughout the month of July. A Turkish drop spindle, as well as the wool and instructions will be included with the class.

Learn how to make your own yarn with this beginner friendly spinning class. Over the course of 3 hours you will learn about drop spindles, how to assemble and use a turkish spindle, and how to take fibre and spin it into yarn.
If you need to stock up on spinning supplies or are looking to learn how to spin, we have a range of Ashford products as well as other fibres that will help get you started and ready for the Tour de Fleece!
