It feels like everyone is having babies all of a sudden! So we thought it's the perfect time to cover some of the common questions we get about knitting for babies. Which yarns are best, which ones are machine washable and where are the cute baby patterns?!

Looking for baby patterns is the best part. They are cute and quick to knit so they are a delight to dive into. Here are some baby patterns we've either knitted or are currently sitting on our to-knit lists.

Baby Yarns

When picking baby yarns, go with what feels nice and soft and doesn't itch. Merino, Alpaca and possum are great options for baby garments and accessories.

Untreated merino and alpaca are perfect for garments close to the skin, possum makes for a hardier yet soft and light alternative, or choose superwash merino for items you want to easily throw in the washing machine.
