New yarns for the knitting season
We are leaning into the colder days by welcoming new yarns!
Rosarios4 Meia Sock Yarn 4ply
The Rosarios4 Meia comes in beautiful solid colours making it perfect for colourwork for socks, garments and accessories. It’s 70% merino and 30% polyamide making it durable and incredibly soft.
Alanna has already started using it to knit these cute Weekend Shorty Socks by Summer Lee Knits. So many colours, so many possibilities!
Alpaca Yarns Cloud Merino Flette
We are proud to be one of the first stockists of Alpaca Yarns Cloud 100% merino! It’s a bulky squishy yarn perfect for warm yet light garments. Look for patterns using Woolfolk flette bulky on Ravelry for knitting inspiration.
There are lots of great patterns from the Woolfolk flette collection that would be suitable for this yarn. The fluffy texture of Cloud gives the Forsten vest and Venlig sweater an air of sophistication and a playful flare on to the Palet beret.
Malabrigo Rasta Super Bulky
We love the beautiful tones of Malabrigo and this Super Bulky 100% merino superwash wool is just what we needed to complete our collection. This chunky, squishy yarn is perfect for cozy winter knitting.
The rich tones of Malabrigo Rasta look wonderful in the Kingston Sweater by Tara-Lynn Morrison. The Holiday Slipover vest by PetiteKnit is a great one for beginners as you only need one thread to get the super bulky weight. This super cute Ear Flap Cap would look beautiful in the Malabrigo colours and keep your ears toasty.
Broadway Merino DK
A brand new addition to Loopine. The Broadway New Zealand DK merino comes in 18 stylish shades that are soft, squishy and durable. It’s machine washable which makes it a great yarn for babywear and pretty much any project you can dream up. It’s also a very affordable option at $11.90 per 50gms!
The range of Broadway merino colours would look great on the Jethro cardigan by Tanis Lavallee - you may remember this cardigan from our crochet MAL inspiration patterns! You can use it with pops of colour or the classic combinations of the Marseille Sweater by PetiteKnit. And of course, make adorable babywear like the Little Pumpkin Hat by Asita Krebs.

Luxury, but make it fun. We now have many more colours to choose from in the Cardiff Classic 8ply and Small 4ply range.
