Our Favourite Sock Pattern Designers
We've kicked off Socktober with so many new yarns and tools to help you with your sock-knitting, but we have yet to help you pick a pattern!
If you're still struggling to find a pattern for your Socktober project, we're here to help with our list of super-talented pattern designers.

A bit of everything:
These sock designers are a good resource for a large variety of socks. If you want to have a go at everything, check them out below!
Laine's 52 Weeks of Socks
Like their 52 Weeks of Shawl book, Laine also has a sock pattern book that allows you to make a pair of socks for every week of the year! The 52 Weeks of Socks covers a lot of different skills and techniques.
Summer Lee
Summer Lee is truly the queen of sock knitting. You can find anything from a super detailed (and free!) beginner pattern, to a fancy colourwork pattern on her Ravelry.
Textures:
If you're a fan of the twists and turns, cables an eyelets, you'll like the designs of these two designers.
Sari Nordlund
Sari Nordlund is quite famous for her cable jumpers, but did you know that she has sock patterns too?! If the thought of having to do cables for a whole jumper scares you, try it in a much smaller project like a sock!
This Handmade Life
I would say that the main difference between This Handmade Life and Sari Nordlund is that This Handmade Life's socks are more romantic. With lacy details and edgings, these socks would look so good with summer dresses!
Colourwork:
If you prefer colours over textures, here are two designers for you :)
Stone Knits
It is IMPOSSIBLE to pick which Stone Knits socks you'd like to knit, because they are all so cute! Sometimes I just like to go through her Ravelry and admire all the patterns she's come up with.
Lumi Karmitsa
Lumi Karmitsa takes colourwork to a whole new level. If you are a true fan of colourwork and would love a challenge, try one of her patterns :)
