Wildfire Hat was inspired by my own surreal experience of seeing a wild fire in the Rocky Mountains, and (I hope) it gives a respecftul nod to the eerie beauty and awe that nature inspires.
Using wide charts with few repeats and beautiful colour-changing yarns, this hat is a creative exercise in colorwork.

Needles:
3mm/US Size 2.5 circular needle (40-50cm/16-20in long recommended)
3.25mm/US Size 3 circular needle (40-50cm/16-20in long recommended)
3.25mm/US Size 3 double-pointed needles (dpns)
Notions: Removable stitch markers & tapestry needle
Yarn:
C1: Malabrigo Arroyo yarn (or similar 5ply/sport weight yarn to achieve gauge)
Colour Pictured: Prussia Blue
C2: Spincycle Yarns Dyed In The Wool (or similar 5ply/sport weight yarn to achieve gauge) Colour Pictured: End of Summer
You will need: C1= 113 metres/124 yards, C2= 92 metres/ 101 yards
Finished Size:
Finished hat measures approx. 45.5cm/ 18in in circumference, and 23cm/ 9in tall
