The Sacandaga Hat is a fairly quick knit using two colors in the round to create the image of snow falling on pine trees, inspired by the beautiful winters of upstate New York near Lake Sacandaga.
Materials Needed Yarn
Lion Brand Wool-Ease solids and heathersworsted weight yarn
in 2 colors (or similar worsted weight yarn)
Quantities needed
Color A: 90–160 yards, Color B: 30–65 yards

4mm/US Size 6 circular needle 60cms long
(I used a 60cm needle because it stretches the project a bit and keeps the colorwork even. You could use a shorter needle but be careful the floats in back of work don’t get too tight)
4mm/US Size 6 double pointed needles
(for decrease rows)
notions
Tapestry needle (for finishing) Stitch markers (optional)
Gauge
10 stitches and 12 rows = two inches
Finished Measurements
Finished hat is approx. 18–20 inches in circumference.
